I will dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
